Save Stanley Head!

Ladies and gentlemen, if you have found this site you will no doubt be aware of Stanley Head and what is done there and the situation that Stanley Head OEC centre is in. However for those of you who aren't here is a brief summary from the Stanley Head website:

"Stanley Head is an Outdoor Education Centre based in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the stunning Peak District. It is ideally located to provide a wide range of educational, challenging and adventurous activities. We’ve been the centre of choice for many schools and groups for almost 40 years, so have a wealth of experience to help make your visit a success."

Most people who have lived in Stoke will be aware of, or visited Stanley Head themselves. The centre has been helping the development of young people in Stoke for a long time, and many people will no doubt have fond memories of the centre and their time there.

Under the Stoke City Council budget reviews, Stanley Head's future is under review. On this basis the Council is asking for opinions of people who have been there, employees or anyone who has an opinion to make it known. Whilst the centre will no doubt continue business as usual, and continue to provide the same high quality service as ever, the more support we can put together to save this incredible asset to the city, the better.
Please post any comments on here, fill in the online comments form, or email savestanleyhead@hotmail.co.uk with any fond memories of the centre.

Thankyou for your support
